About Me

Hello! My name is Margherita von Aulock and I am a London based Photographer and Retoucher with a life-long passion for the profession and currently manage a product photography department full time. Throughout my career I have been fortunate enough to work with exciting brands such as Yunus & Eliza (Game Of Thrones and The Hunger Games) The White Company, John Lewis, Shaun Leane and Lulu Guiness.

I was born in Saudi Arabia to parents who are Italian, German and Canadian. So I come from a very mixed background where I was quickly submersed into photography when I was given my first camera as a child.

After leaving secondary school I decided to take on a 1 year Art foundation course at Wimbledon college of Arts where I gained a diploma. I then pursued my photographic studies at Winchester School of Art where I successfully received a Batchelor degree in 2012.  This 3 year Graphic Arts course enabled me to deepen my understanding of photography. Then my passion to learn more, led me to do 4 months abroad in Italy (Ancona) and volunteer as a photographic assistant  to an urban regeneration project for ‘Vista Mare’  it was this trip that made me realise it was the path I wanted to follow as soon as I came back to London. 

I also have extensive experience of working as a freelance photographer in many fields: portraiture, abstract, product and wedding photography as well as corporate event photography and photojournalism. I always strive to perfect my technique and composition and, as a result, my work has been published in the UK, US, Germany and Italy. 

I like to define myself as a lover of abstract photography and through my own imagery I am always trying to transform the known into the unknown.
